Child Custody and Child Support
There is nothing more important than our children. We are concerned about their safety, health, and well-being, and we care about how they are affected by the divorce. Decisions by you and your attorney during the divorce process will affect your children’s lives. We will work with you in making decisions as to your rights as a parent and the time you spend with your children. It is important that you understand all the options and rights on child custody available to you as a parent. We will work with you to choose the best plan for you and your children. Texas courts are asked to make decisions based on the best interests of the child. While parents may elect or the Court may order a standard possession plan available under Texas law, we have had success creating plans that are unique, creative and allow each parent to maximize the time with the children. In the event an agreement as to custody cannot be reached, we stand ready with years of courtroom experience to aggressively protect your rights as a parent.
Child support is a critical element to a divorce when you have children. If an agreement cannot be reached between the parents, the Court will decide the amount and frequency of payments. We will assist you in evaluating the proper amount of child support, and if necessary, protect your rights at trial.
Our office has experience and is committed to guiding you through all issues pertaining to your children during divorce.
