Pre-Nuptial and Post-Nuptial Agreements

Our office can prepare a prenuptial agreement for you. A prenuptial agreement is an agreement entered between two people before they are married which establishes each person’s property rights in the event the marriage ends in divorce. Texas law requires a full and fair disclosure of each party of their assets and debts before marriage.

Our office can also assist you with a postnuptial agreement, which is similar to a prenuptial agreement, except it is created after marriage. A postnuptial agreement can identify and protect assets acquired after marriage, and a postnuptial agreement can be entered by a couple in anticipation of divorce to set forth property rights prior to the divorce.
